From 1 July 2026, all providers delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL) services must be formally registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. The Australian Government has announced that budgets for social, civic and community participation supports will be progressively adjusted from 1 October 2026, returning to approximately 2023 levels. Following consultation with people with disability and their families, the new NDIS framework planning approach has been delayed from mid-2026 to 1 April 2027. Current planning rules remain in place until then.
